about

An anxious and driving nod to moments of madness, Void, the fifth single from Atomic Pines, spirals into conspiracy theory and superstition.

This work is wrought with guilty moments, when skepticism and reason are replaced by fear and paranoia. A relentless beat, possessed by thoughts devolving and indulging in absurd contemplations, punctuated by stuttering articulation. All to fill an emptiness invented when we're at our most vulnerable.

lyrics

I don't look right
Nothing but vacant eyes
Nothing but dirty wires
Nothing but static
So tell me, do I think right?
Does the television lie?
Do the monsters in my closet sympathize?

I'm singing come on baby
Terrify me
Come on baby
I need to believe

Does any of this seem fine?
Demons walking in the daylight
Demons violate slumber every night
So tell me, do I feel right?
Is this horror even mine?
Will this dark possession rot and multiply?

Singing come on baby
Terrify me
Come on baby
I need to believe

I can stare into the void for a moment
Burn out all the vessels in my, my eyes
I've been looking for a sign
Something better than this contemplating nothing
But emptiness is all I seem to find

I'm singing come on baby (Come on)
Terrify me (Come on)
Come on baby (Come on)
I need to believe

Singing come on baby
(I can stare into the void for a moment)
Terrify me
(Burn out all the vessels in my, my eyes)
Come on baby
(Something better than this contemplating nothing)
I need to believe
(But emptiness is all I seem to find)

Come on baby
(I can stare into the void for a moment)
Terrify me
(Burn out all the vessels in my, my eyes)
Come on baby
(Something better than this contemplating nothing)
I need to believe, I need to believe
(But emptiness is all I seem to find)

I need to believe
